Safer recruitment training became a statutory requirement for Head teachers and at least one member of every appointment panel in schools in response to the Bichard Inquiry (Soham). Keeping Children Safe in Education makes clear that, in all schools covered by the School Staffing (England) Regulations 2009, at least one member of every appointment panel must undertake safe recruitment training. This training is developed by a consortium which includes - NSPCC, Lucy Faithfull Foundation, NASS and CAPE - all leading organisations in safeguarding.
As an accredited trainer I am registered to deliver this training and allow me access to regularly updated materials. Coaching
As a trained Coach, NLP and IEMT Practitioner I offer coaching to support the wellbeing offer in your school or setting.
Headteacher coaching is available to support their wellbeing and is beneficial to those new to the role and also those with decades of experience. It enables an opportunity for reflection, strategic thinking and development.
Coaching is available for all individuals, and can be particularly beneficial for those roles that can be isolating within organisations or schools and are emotionally challenging, such as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, the SENCO or the Designated Teacher. It can also be used to develop leadership skills and confidence for Senior Leaders, and those wanting to progress to this level.
If you are an individual within any field of work and feel that coaching could be beneficial to you, please do not hesitate to contact me. Costs for coaching are usually considered on an hour and a half basis for individuals. The recommended frequency is once a month/once a half term and ideally a minimum of 5 sessions.
Consultancy
The offer of consultancy is all about what you need. This is therefore an opportunity for schools, settings and organisations to discuss their ideas and thoughts on how I could help future development. A bespoke plan will be created based on your needs, that may include other services available, or may be entirely tailored to your requirements.
This may involve:
- discussion with the Headteacher, Manager or equivalent of the school, setting or organisation
- attendance at a Senior Leadership/Senior Management meeting
- one-to-one time with a particular member of staff such as the Designated Safeguarding Lead or Mental Health Champion
- opportunity to meet with the Governing Body or the Board or Trustees
All of these can be done face-to-face or virtually.
Consultancy costs are dependent on your requirements and can be considered on an hourly, half-day or full-day basis, or relevant to completion of a specific piece of work or project.
Packages
If you would like to have a combination of the above services, it may be possible to provide a package of support at a reduced cost. Please contact to discuss further.
